About the Botany Group

Dr. Arthur Harrold, conservationist and author of ‘Wildflowers of Noosa and Cooloola’ formed the Botany Group in April 1995 to share his knowledge of local plants.  He retired in 2004, leaving behind excellent notes to a strongly committed group of plant enthusiasts.

The aim of the Group is to increase knowledge of local flora and encourage others to enjoy, study and protect plants of the Noosa Biosphere.

Members of the group study and document native plants in the Noosa area and encourage links with other plant enthusiasts.

Members attend monthly meetings at the Environment Centre and undertake monthly field excursions, usually within the greater Noosa area. If you would like to join, or know more about this group, please contact  Linda Falkner at lindadfalkner@gmailcom.
