28 Aug – Wetlands of Noosa and Cooloola, Ollie Scully

Ollie Scully is an aquatic ecologist currently working as a project officer for Mary River Catchment Co-ordinating Committee (MRCCC). For the last eight years, his work has involved monitoring and conservation of threatened fauna with a special focus on freshwater aquatic species such as frogs, crayfish, small fish and reptiles and it has become an obsession. This focus has taken Ollie to many remote corners of eastern Australia chasing unique wildlife and ecosystems.

At Friday Environment Forum on August 28th, Ollie will introduce the fundamentals of wetland ecology, highlight notable species and explore threatened wetland systems across our local region. He will showcase some of the significant wetlands that make the Noosa area so ecologically special.
