April 10th: Slow Food Kids – make food, take time, create meaning

In a collaboration between Friday Environment Forum, Slow Food Noosa and Noosa Community Gardens, a workshop on April 10th, will encourage families to discover how growing your own food is good for you and good for the environment, while being lots of fun.
Di Seels, the Noosa Slow Food Snails Kids Co-ordinator, along with Josh Smallwood, Head Chef of Noosa Cartel will lead a fun, hands-on workshop creating dishes from good, clean and fair food. Participants will also learn about worm farms and other practices that are great for gardens and the environment at Noosa Community Gardens.
Location: Meet at Noosa Parks Association Environment Centre, 5 Wallace Drive, Noosaville. We will then walk across to the Noosa Community Gardens.
Time: 9:30am- 11:30am
Cost: Entry is free but a $5 donation by ‘tap & go’ is welcome.
Adults MUST stay with children during the session.
Limited to 25 children (no limit for adults)
