Noosa Koala Corridor Project

A landmark partnership between the State Government, Noosa Council, Noosa Parks Association, and HQPlantations has seen an agreement reached to return 2,600 hectares of land from plantation forestry to National Park.

This $3.5 million investment to retire the land from plantation forestry for conservation purposes is being jointly funded by the Department of Environment and Science (DES), Noosa Shire Council and Noosa Parks Association.

The official signing ceremony took place in the Yurol – Ringtail State Forest on Wednesday 7th November 2018.

The signing event for the Noosa Koala Corridor Project included speeches from representatives for each signatory. You can view the videos below from:
